Group Therapy
with The Therapy Office
Hey there! I'm so excited to tell you about our upcoming group therapy sessions for adults! Our goal is to create a safe, supportive and fun space for you to connect with other people, build empowering relationships, and learn new ways to take care of yourself.
Our group therapy programs explore different topics ranging from self-care, empowerment, trauma, religious trauma, book clubs, and coping skills. In each group therapy program, you'll learn practical tools and strategies to help you manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
Group therapy should be more than just learning new skills which is why ours are designed to help you build an encouraging community that supports you. Through similar experiences and struggles, you will connect with other people as they share the journey towards empowerment and growth.
Our sessions are designed to be welcoming, fun, and engaging. We use a variety of interactive activities and group discussions to help you feel comfortable and get the most out of your experience.
So if you're a person looking for a supportive community and a chance to grow and learn, we would love to have you join our group therapy sessions. We can't wait to see you there!

5:30pm - 6:30pm
In-person at The Therapy Office
with Becca Ferguson, LPC

Fill out the form below to get started!Religious trauma can rock your world. Every person has such a unique experience, but the feelings of isolation are deafening, especially when you don't know who you can trust. After years of being told how to think, feel and identify, it can be extremely confusing on what you're supposed to do next.
As a therapist and a survivor of abuse in a religious environment, I know firsthand the thoughts and frustrations that happen after experiencing religious trauma. There are a lot of questions and you want to know if there are safe places to ask those questions! I've created this group exactly for that purpose. Living in the Bible belt is hard and you deserve a space to explore what you want to believe and the parts that are intruding your day to day life.
This group will explore themes related to religious trauma, particularly in the Christian faith. We'll discuss:- How to navigate difficult conversations during religious themed holidays
- How to separate religion from politics
- How to create identity after separation from organization religion
- How to eliminate black and white thinking

Groups are a unique experience that we believe everyone should have access to - even in rural small towns! With virtual group therapy, we can provide access to people all over the state of Arkansas!
-
There are two main types of groups!
Open Groups: These are usually longer running, anyone can join at any point, people can come and go from week to week. Privacy is still maintained and group rules are still developed! These groups are usually themed, but the topics are more broad and can vary from week to week.
Closed Groups: These groups usually have a set timeline of when they are going to start and finish. Members cannot join after the group has started. The theme and topics are usually planned and scheduled for each week, creating a more structured environment.
-
The core purpose of group is to provide a safe space where you can discuss your biggest challenges and concerns. At the beginning of the first group, we will discuss the “group rules”. The rules include the famous Vegas saying, “What happens in group, stays in group!”
